Hose and fitting counter

Hoses, fittings and reels

High pressure, low pressure and pressure washer hose, fittings, adapters and couplings, and reels for air, fuel, grease, oil and welding hose.

Chapter 01

How a hose or fitting tells you it is done

Hoses fail in a few familiar ways. The outer cover wears through where it rubs a bracket, a hose balloons or bursts under load, a fitting weeps at the crimp, or someone threads a near-match fitting onto a port and it seals for a week before it leaks. Bring the failed piece to the counter at 116 Wolcott Rd in Terryville and we can usually see which one it was.

Kyle Krantz, in a Google review, called us the “Best place to grab anything form fittings to hoses, they reduce cylinders too.” The spelling is his; the point is that people treat this counter as one stop for the small parts that keep a machine running, whether the hose is the problem or only the first thing to leak.

Hose assemblies made to match the old one

We carry high pressure, low pressure and pressure washer hose, and we build hose assemblies. The fittings that go on them, along with adapters, couplings, O-rings and tubing, are all on the shelves in the same room. Bring the old assembly if you have it, because the original shows the length, the ends and the routing better than any description over the phone.

A word on threads, from general trade practice and not a rule of ours: tapered pipe threads and straight threads with an O-ring or flare seat are different animals, and they do not trade places. Matching the thread type and the size is the job, and it is much easier with the old fitting in hand. For the hydraulic circuit around it, see our cylinder repair and our pumps and motors.

Chapter 03

Reels, gauges and air fittings

Hose reels are part of the stock: air hose, fuel hose, grease and oil, pressure washer and welding hose reels, among others. A reel keeps a hose off a shop floor where a truck tire or a dropped tool would find it first, and it is worth choosing one for the fluid it will carry.

The air side of the counter covers regulators, gauges, quick couplings, nozzles, flowmeters, solenoids, accumulators, adapters and tubing. If you are not sure what size or type you need, call (860) 582-0308 or stop by during counter hours, tell us what the hose or reel is for, and we will point you to the right piece.
