The parts counter
Tell the counter what you need
Write it the way you would say it across the counter. The part, the brand, the numbers on it. The more of that we get, the quicker we can check if we have it.
What to include on the ticket
- The part
- Cylinder, pump, motor, valve, hose, fitting, jack or lift. Say what it is in your own words.
- Brand and model
- Read the plate or the cast marks. A model or part number is the fastest way to a match.
- Stamped numbers
- Anything stamped or etched into the body, even if it looks worn or only partly readable.
- Cylinder sizes
- Bore, rod diameter and stroke if you have them. If you don't, say so and bring the cylinder in.
- The machine
- What it came off: the lift, the excavator, the forklift, the log splitter, the press.
